Changes to our dining options in Bremerhaven

Starting this coming winter semester, we are making changes to our offerings at Hochschule Bremerhaven. Unfortunately, the cafeteria has had to close. Naturally, this was a very difficult decision for us to make. The main factors behind this decision were financial reasons stemming from low demand coupled with high operating costs. Despite our best efforts, we have also been unable to recruit enough staff to keep the cafeteria running on a long-term basis for the past two years.

The opening hours and menu offerings at the Mensa will remain the same. In addition to lunch, the Mensa will now also offer options for morning coffee breaks and light snacks throughout the day. In addition, vending machines will be installed starting this fall. This will allow us to offer a selection of snacks and beverages outside of regular opening hours as well as on the go.
