University catering

Since June 2025, we have been labeling particularly climate-friendly dishes in our canteens with the KlimaTeller logo. In this way, we are creating more transparency and enabling conscious decisions for climate-friendly nutrition.

We offer the zero-waste plate in the University campus dining hall (Mensa) and the Neustadtswall dining hall (Mensa). Shortly after regular closing time, leftover food and components are offered at reduced prices.

In our cafeterias, unsold baked goods and snacks can be saved shortly after closing time with the help of the"too good to go" app. In addition to these consumption-based offers, we also rely on demand-oriented production and processing to avoid food waste. We use state-of-the-art appliances that save up to 40% energy compared to conventional appliances.
